For that purpose a set of activities classifications is used to encompass the nature of products, the technological contents of manufactures and the knowledge contents of services, the tradability of the products and the competitiveness factors of manufactures. The most important sectors for regional economic growth and the regions and pairs of sector and region that were the most important for sectoral and national economic growth, are identified and their contributions to growth are explained with employment and productivity growth.
