The methodology used is similar to the one adopted for the I-O system for 2005 published by DPP in 2008, where that sector is not autonomised. The present system considers 60 products and it was built (as the previous one) on the basis of supply and use detailed tables (product by industry) and other data supplied by the Portuguese Statistical Institute (INE). The system includes tables for total flows at purchaser and at basic prices, national production, imports, trade and transport margins, import duties, VAT, other taxes and subsidies on products.
